Frequently asked questions

It's a deep-cleansing scrub. Mixed with a little water, the fine baking-powder base and mild acids gently buff away dead surface cells and loosen the build-up that dulls skin and clogs the look of pores. Used once or twice a week, it leaves the complexion feeling smoother and looking fresher and clearer.

Once or twice a week is plenty for most skin. Because it both physically buffs and contains mild acids, daily use would be too much and could leave skin feeling sensitised. Space it out, and on the days you scrub, keep the rest of your routine simple and follow with a moisturiser.

Cleanse first, then apply to damp skin and add a little water to activate the powder into a paste. Massage gently for a minute or two, focusing on the nose, forehead and chin where build-up gathers. Rinse with cool water and follow with your usual toner, serum and moisturiser. Avoid the eye area.

It suits oily and blemish-prone skin well for keeping pores looking clear. It combines physical buffing with mild acids and a touch of menthol for a cool finish, so sensitive or reactive skin should use it sparingly and press gently. Patch test first, and if skin feels tight or tingly afterwards, cut back to once a week or less.

"Cica" refers to Centella Asiatica, a botanical known for calming and soothing the look of skin. It's included here to help offset the buffing action, so skin feels comfortable rather than raw after exfoliating. Confirm the full ingredient list on the pack, as centella typically sits among the supporting extracts in a scrub like this.

Better not to. This scrub already exfoliates both physically and with acids, so pairing it with a leave-on AHA/BHA toner or a retinol on the same day risks over-doing it. Use it on its own exfoliating day, and keep leave-on actives for other evenings to give skin time to recover.

The baking-powder base gives the scrub its soft, fine texture — it turns into a light paste with water so the exfoliation feels gentle rather than gritty. It helps sweep away surface flakes and loosen pore build-up during the massage, then rinses away cleanly, leaving skin feeling smooth and looking brighter.
