Frequently asked questions

It's a fine powder scrub that mixes with water into a gentle paste to buff away dead surface skin cells, excess oil and daily build-up. Rinsed off, it leaves skin feeling smoother, cleaner and refreshed. Used once or twice a week, it helps keep the complexion looking clear and feeling soft between deeper cleanses.

As a scrub, once or twice a week is plenty for most skin types. Over-exfoliating can leave skin feeling sensitive, so there's no benefit to daily use. If your skin is on the sensitive side, start with once a week and see how it feels before using it more often.

Cleanse first, then tip a small amount of powder into damp palms and add a little water to work it into a soft paste. Massage gently over damp skin in circular motions, avoiding the eye area, then rinse thoroughly with water. Follow with toner and moisturiser, as you would after any exfoliating step.

The powder base is gentle, but this formula also contains exfoliating acids and menthol, which can feel tingly or sensitising on reactive skin. If your skin is sensitive, patch-test first, start with once a week, and avoid using it alongside other exfoliants or actives. Stop if you notice persistent stinging or redness.

It's best not to layer exfoliants. If you already use an acid toner, peeling gel or other scrub, alternate days rather than combining them, to avoid leaving skin feeling stripped or sensitive. On the days you use this scrub, keep the rest of your routine simple and hydrating.

Yes. Alongside the physical baking-soda base, it contains small amounts of salicylic (BHA), lactic (AHA) and lactobionic (PHA) acids, which add a mild chemical exfoliation. This is why once or twice a week is enough. Avoid pairing it with other acid or retinol products on the same day to keep skin comfortable.

Either works, but many people prefer evenings so freshly exfoliated skin can take in the rest of their night-time routine. If you use it in the morning, always follow with sunscreen, since freshly exfoliated skin benefits from sun protection. Whenever you use it, moisturise afterwards to keep skin comfortable.
