CP-1 Keratin Concentrate Ampoule

It is a water-light Korean keratin treatment from CP-1, sold at Beauty Bar. Worked through dry, damaged hair, its keratin, collagen and elastin blend leaves rough, brittle-feeling lengths looking glossier and feeling smoother and more elastic. It can be used as a leave-in, rinsed out, or left on overnight.

Apply to clean, towel-dried hair and distribute through the mid-lengths and ends. Leave for ten to fifteen minutes then rinse, or leave in for a lighter finish. It can also be left on overnight as an intensive mask. Keep it mainly on the lengths rather than the scalp.

Both work. Left in, it gives a light conditioning finish and everyday smoothness; rinsed after ten to fifteen minutes, it acts more like a quick treatment. For very dry or damaged hair, leaving it on overnight gives the most intensive care. Adjust to how your hair feels.

Yes. It suits dry, damaged, colour-treated and heat-styled hair that feels rough and looks dull. Its keratin and protein blend coats the lengths so they feel smoother and look glossier. Some people also mix a little into hair dye during colouring, following the colour product's own guidance.

The ampoule is built around hydrolyzed keratin and collagen, proteins known for smoothing the look of the hair surface, with jojoba oil valued for softening dry lengths. It has a water-light, non-greasy texture designed to absorb without weighing hair down, even when left in. Fine hair should use a small amount on the mid-lengths and ends and can rinse it out rather than leaving it in. Thicker or very dry hair can use more or leave it on longer.

For general upkeep, a couple of times a week is plenty; for very dry or damaged hair you can use it more often, including as an overnight mask. As with most protein treatments, alternate with a moisturising conditioner or mask so hair stays soft and balanced rather than stiff.
