Frequently asked questions

A28 Mango Tulip Garden is a warm-toned coral-orange shade — think ripe mango with a soft pink undertone, sitting between a true orange and a vibrant coral. It reads as lively and fresh on the lips rather than heavy. On fair to medium skin tones it appears vivid and warm; on deeper skin tones it reads as a clean, bright coral. It is not a neutral or nude — it makes a visible statement.

A28 works most effortlessly on warm and neutral undertones — golden, olive, or peachy complexions where the warm mango base harmonises naturally. It also works well on cool undertones as a colour contrast, where the warmth of the shade creates a deliberate pop against cooler-toned skin. It is a versatile warm shade rather than a specialist one, but those with very fair, cool-pink complexions should swatch it first as the orange element can read stronger against high contrast skin.

The finish is velvety-matte — a soft, diffused effect that is neither flat nor shiny. It dries down to a smooth, slightly powdery-looking surface that photographs well and reads as polished in person. The formula is described as airy and ultra-light, designed to feel close to weightless during wear. Unlike heavier liquid lipsticks that can feel film-like once set, this sits comfortably without pulling or tightening.

Yes — A28 Mango Tulip Garden is particularly well-suited to warmer months. The warm coral-orange tone complements sun-kissed and bronzed skin tones that build through spring and summer, and the airy velvet formula wears more comfortably in heat than heavier lipstick textures. The shade is vibrant enough to work as a single statement piece with minimal other makeup, which suits the lighter, more effortless looks of the warmer seasons.

Both share the same air-light velvet formula and finish. The difference is purely in shade direction: Tint 6 (A28) is a warm coral-orange — bright, fresh, seasonal. Tint 7 offers shades in deeper terracotta and saturated red directions (A33 and A37). If you want something that reads warm and modern without going into classic red territory, Tint 6 A28 is the choice. If you want deeper, more dramatic warmth or a bold red, Tint 7 is better suited.

As a velvet-matte liquid formula, it removes cleanly with an oil-based cleanser or micellar water — a dedicated lip and eye makeup remover will take it off in one pass without rubbing. It does leave a faint residual stain on the lips after removal, similar to most pigmented lip tints, which fades naturally within a few hours. This is normal for the formula type and not a defect.

Apply from the doe-foot applicator, starting at the centre of the lips and blending outward. One pass gives full, even coverage. For a softer gradient — which suits a bright coral especially well — apply to the centre and blend outward with a fingertip before the formula sets. A matching lip liner sharpens the edge if you want a more defined finish.
