Lamelin Perfect Sugar Scrub for Face – Gentle Facial Exfoliating Scrub

Gentle facial sugar scrub that removes dead skin cells, cleans pores, and leaves skin soft, smooth, and radiant.

Lamelin Perfect Sugar Scrub for Face is a gentle facial exfoliator designed to remove dead skin cells and improve skin texture.

Its fine sugar particles help lift away surface impurities, excess oil, and dull skin buildup, supporting deep pore cleansing and skin renewal.

The scrub leaves the skin feeling soft, smooth, and naturally radiant, while reducing roughness and signs of fatigue. Moisturizing ingredients help prevent dryness, so the skin feels comfortable after use.

Perfect for all skin types, especially when the skin needs extra softness and freshness.

How to use: Apply to damp skin, gently massage for 1–2 minutes, and rinse with warm water. Use 1–2 times a week.

Choose Lamelin Face Sugar Scrub for smooth, clear, and glowing skin every day.

Frequently asked questions

It does both jobs at once. The sucrose at 300,000ppm (30% of the formula) provides physical exfoliation — buffing away dead skin cells to leave skin smoother and brighter. But the base it sits in is genuinely nourishing: Shea Butter, Macadamia Oil, Meadowfoam Seed Oil, and Olive Oil condition the skin as you scrub, so it doesn't feel stripped after rinsing. Sphingomonas Ferment Extract — a fermented biotechnology ingredient — additionally supports skin hydration and smoothness at the surface level. The result is soft, conditioned skin rather than just clean skin.

Sphingomonas is a bacteria that produces a polysaccharide closely related to hyaluronic acid when fermented — it has strong water-binding and skin-smoothing properties. Including it in a scrub is a genuinely K-beauty move: rather than leaving the skin bare after exfoliation, the ferment fills in the surface immediately with hydration-supporting actives. It's the same fermentation philosophy behind some of Korea's most celebrated essences, applied here in a wash-off format where it works during contact time.

The brown colour comes from Caramel, which is a cosmetic colorant in the formula — it gives the scrub its warm, coffee-toned appearance and the sugar crystals visible throughout. The scrub contains Fragrance, so it does have a scent — based on the visual styling (coffee beans and sugarcane on the packaging) it reads as a warm, sweet-gourmand scent rather than a floral or fresh one. If you have fragrance sensitivity, check the packaging before first use. It's not edible — the caramel and coffee aesthetic is visual and aromatic, not a flavour.

The packaging says "for all skin types" without specifying face or body, but the 30% sucrose concentration and the formula texture place it firmly in body scrub territory for most people. Sugar granules at this concentration are too coarse for regular facial use — they can cause microtears on thinner facial skin, particularly around the eyes, nose, and lips. On the body — legs, arms, elbows, knees — it's ideal. For the face, use it at most once a week on areas with thicker skin (forehead, chin) with very light pressure, or stick to a dedicated facial exfoliant for that purpose.

Apply to damp skin in the shower or bath — never dry skin, which increases friction and can cause irritation. Take a generous amount and massage in slow circular motions for 30 to 60 seconds per area, then rinse thoroughly. The oil base means you don't need to moisturise immediately after on the body — the Shea and Macadamia oils leave a conditioning layer behind. Two mistakes to avoid: using it too frequently (two to three times a week maximum — daily scrubbing disrupts the skin barrier), and applying it to broken, sunburned, or freshly shaved skin, where the physical exfoliation will cause irritation.

Most mass-market sugar scrubs use sucrose in a simple mineral oil or basic emollient base — they exfoliate but don't do much else. The Lamelin Perfect Sugar Scrub has a noticeably more complex nourishing base: Macadamia, Meadowfoam, and Olive Oils alongside Shea Butter provide a fatty acid profile that matches skin lipids closely, conditioning rather than just coating. The Sphingomonas Ferment Extract is the clearest point of difference — it's a biotechnology ingredient you don't find in mass-market scrubs at any price. The botanicals (Centella, Witch Hazel, Sage, Scutellaria Baicalensis) also add a calming and antioxidant dimension that most body scrubs skip entirely.

The botanicals in the formula — Centella Asiatica, Witch Hazel, Scutellaria Baicalensis, and Sage — are all calming or antioxidant-supporting, which makes the formula thoughtful for post-exfoliation sensitivity. The physical exfoliation itself is where sensitive skin needs care: use light pressure and don't exceed two sessions per week. The formula does contain Fragrance, which is the most likely irritant for reactive skin — if you're prone to fragrance sensitivity, patch-test on the inner arm before full use. It is not formulated for broken, inflamed, or eczema-affected skin regardless of skin type claim.
