Frequently asked questions

It chemically dissolves the bonds between dead skin cells on your feet using a combination of AHA, BHA, and PHA acids — including lactic acid, glycolic acid, and salicylic acid. You wear the booties for 60–90 minutes, rinse off, and over the following 7–14 days the dead skin peels away naturally, revealing softer, smoother skin underneath. No scrubbing required

The peeling is driven by three types of chemical exfoliants: lactic acid and glycolic acid (AHAs) loosen the top layers of dead skin; salicylic acid (BHA) penetrates deeper to address rough, thickened patches and calluses; and gluconolactone (a PHA) provides gentler exfoliation while supporting moisture retention. Witch hazel extract and white lily flower extract soothe while the acids work.

Start with clean, dry feet. Place both feet into the included plastic booties, secure them at the ankle, and leave on for 60–90 minutes — the longer end is better for thick calluses or very rough heels. Rinse thoroughly with water. Over the next 7–14 days, dead skin will begin to peel away naturally. Soaking your feet in warm water for 10–15 minutes daily during that period accelerates the peeling.

Peeling typically begins 3–7 days after application and lasts for 7–14 days total, depending on how much dead skin has accumulated and how often you soak your feet in warm water during the process. The skin doesn't peel all at once — it gradually lifts and sheds in sheets over the course of the cycle. Results are usually most visible around days 5–10.

The formula contains multiple active acids — lactic, glycolic, and salicylic — which means it's not recommended for broken or irritated skin, open wounds, or very thin skin. For generally sensitive skin that is intact, the presence of gluconolactone (a gentler PHA) and soothing extracts like witch hazel and white lily does offset some of the intensity. Avoid use if you have diabetes or circulatory conditions affecting your feet, and do not apply to cracked or bleeding heels.

It's strongly advised not to. Pulling or peeling the skin manually before it's ready to come off naturally can remove living skin beneath the dead layer, causing irritation, tenderness, or minor tearing. The process works best when you let the exfoliation cycle complete on its own timeline — soaking in warm water daily speeds it up without the risk of forcing it. Patience here produces noticeably better results.

Once every 4–6 weeks is a reasonable maintenance rhythm for most people. Using it more frequently than this doesn't accelerate results — the skin needs time to regenerate between cycles. For a first use, or if your feet are very rough, allow the full peeling cycle to complete (up to two weeks) before assessing whether another application is needed. For most people, two to three uses a year keeps feet consistently smooth.
