Face mist

Face mist works well before serum to prep skin, or any time during the day when skin feels tight or dull. Hold it 15–20 centimetres from your face and spritz evenly, then press any excess in gently with your palms rather than wiping it away.

Not quite. Toner is a dedicated step applied right after cleansing to rebalance skin, while a face mist is more flexible — used to refresh, prep or set makeup at any point in the day. Many people use both, for different moments.

It gives a light, immediate refresh, but on its own it evaporates without something to lock the moisture in. For lasting hydration, follow with serum or moisturiser. Used alone, it's best treated as a quick pick-me-up rather than a hydration step.
