Exfoliant

A scrub uses fine particles to physically buff away dead skin. A peeling gel rolls dead cells off through fingertip friction rather than grit. An exfoliating liquid works chemically, left on the skin rather than rinsed off. All three resurface skin, just through different textures and methods.

Scrubs and peeling gels work best 1–2 times a week, rinsed off after use. Exfoliating liquids are different — introduce them gradually a few times a week, leave them on without rinsing, and always follow with sunscreen the next morning to protect freshly exfoliated skin.

It can be, at the right frequency and strength. Gentler formulas and lower frequency suit sensitive skin better than stronger scrubs. Acne-prone skin often benefits from chemical exfoliants over physical ones. Always patch test, and stop if irritation appears.
